Course Overview

The Air Monitoring Technician (AMT) Training Course is designed for individuals seeking to monitor air quality on asbestos abatement projects. This state-required course, developed for the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), ensures compliance with Texas regulations for air monitoring on asbestos removal projects.

Graduates of this course will be qualified to collect PCM and TEM air samples for building owners and abatement personnel monitoring in Texas. However, PCM sample analysis requires additional certification and is not covered in this course.

This course is fully approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and is required for anyone performing air monitoring duties on asbestos abatement sites.

Students are responsible to verify these requirements prior to registering for a course.
